I have always been fascinated and moved by art.  I remember as a child watching my uncle, who was self-taught, transform blank canvases into wonderful landscapes and still lifes; I was amazed.  He got me interested in creating, and as a teen I devoted some time to pen and ink, making original holiday cards for friends.  But I did not take it any further, and did not pick up a pen or brush for many years.

In 2015 while on vacation I sat in on some watercolor classes, and re-discovered my love of creating.  I am drawn to the complexities and the softness of watercolors.  When I returned home I enrolled in a few classes, but found I rather preferred teaching myself by experimenting with paints and brushes.  I particularly enjoy architectural forms and nature.  Since my wife and I have a fondness for traveling as well as visiting local sites, most of my work is derived from our photos of these memorable places.  I am constantly learning and discovering, and hope you enjoy watching my journey.
